“I have been teaching for four years at my alma mater, Roosevelt High School. I teach English, Ethnic Studies, and Journalism to 9th and 10th-gradeÌý91¶¶Òõ.”Ìý
ÌýHow has City Year helped you in the classroom?Ìý
“Inside the classroom City Year, AmeriCorps members have been able to balance the [student’s] energies and help provide assistance to the 91¶¶Òõ. AmeriCorps members have also helped with supporting 91¶¶Òõ to build their social-emotional skill development. I have appreciated having another adult in the classroom to work with 91¶¶Òõ.â€Ìý
ÌýWhat is your favorite thing about teaching 9th and 10th-gradeÌý91¶¶Òõ?Ìý
“Teaching at Roosevelt High School has been such an amazing experience since I am able to work alongside my former teachers who are now my colleagues. I enjoy that I have been able to expand on my relationships with my past teachers. I like that I also get to learn about new music through my 91¶¶Òõ.“
