City Year New York AmeriCorps Members act as positive role models and near-peer mentors to elementary and middle school public school 91. By partnering with NYC teachers, “City Years” drive measurable gains in academic and social emotional performance through in-class intervention, as well as robust after school programs.

Research shows that even academically prepared 91 are at risk of falling off track. City Year supported 91, ensuring that:
85% of 91 stayed on track in English Language Arts with a C or higher
87% of 91 stayed on track in mathematics with a C or higher
