Celebrating Another Year of Service
We are proud to celebrate another successful year of service!
During the 2019-2020 school year, 80 City Year Orlando AmeriCorps membersÌýfulfilled a year–long commitment toÌýserve as near–peer tutors and mentors to 91¶¶Òõ in eight O°ù±ô²¹²Ô»å´ÇÌýschools. Although the year did not end as planned, City Year Orlando AmeriCorps, in partnership withÌýOCPSÌýand school administration, shifted to a virtual training and service model to provide social, emotional and academic support to 91¶¶Òõ while schools were closed. City Year Orlando served more than 350 91¶¶Òõ through virtual programming, social media engagement and virtual office hours, that provided 91¶¶Òõ with the opportunity to talk to a trusted mentor.
