9/11 Day of Service with San José State University

In honor of the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, City Year San José/Silicon Valley’s staff and corps participated in 9/11 Day of service at San Jose State University. With over 400+ volunteers, our AmeriCorps members packed more than 200,000 meals for members of the San Jose community who are in high need when it comes to food security. It was a great honor to serve alongside other AmeriCorps organizations and volunteers, like Mayor Matt Mahan, to honor the lives lost and the valor of the service members who supported the recovery efforts following the events of 9/11.
